Bay Area Mountain Lions

Mountain Lions in Bay Area face many threats including vehicle collisions, livestock conflict, and lack of habitat connectivity. Despite this, there has not been a lot of documentation of these issues in this region. With special permission from University of California Reserves, I've been working to camera trap mountain lions to raise awareness about these issues

Coexistence in Southern India Tea Estates

In Southern India, the landscape is dominated by sprawling tea plantations. While these places may seem void of life, a closer look reveals many predators like leopards and bears inhabiting this landscape, often using the exact same trails as people. I worked on a camera trap project here to document this remarkable coexistence between humans and predators

Yosemite Great Gray Owl Project

I was included on a 2024 Yosemite Conservancy grant by the Yosemite National Park Terrestrial Wildlife Team. With this funding, I did a photo project in collaboration with Yosemite National Park Service, spending two months in the park documenting the work the park biologists are doing to research and conserve the endangered great gray owl subspecies in the park. Will continue field work for this project in 2024.

Working with Nonprofit Raptors are the Solution, I use photography, storytelling, and public outreach to raise awareness about the impacts of rodenticides on wildlife. My work largely involves tabling events, social media, and speaking engagements to directly connect with my community about this issue

Bay Area Bobcats

While common in our local Bay Area Parks, bobcats are notoriously secretive and difficult to photograph. I've spent over 5 years and thousands of hours tracking and photographing them, capturing behavior thats never been documented before. I've been invited to speak about bobcats at local parks, Earth Day Events, and nonprofits. Several local magazines have also shared my work about bobcats. Through all of this, I've been able give many Bay Area residents a glimpse into the secretive life of a bobcat

Urban Ecology Research Assistant

I am a research assistant on an urban ecology project in Christopher Schell's Lab at UC Berkeley. In this project, research focuses on how environmental justice affects wildlife communities, with a focus on mesopredator populations
